Andrew L. Davidson, O.D.
Andrew L. Davidson, O.D. is a graduate of Tippecanoe High School. Dr. Davidson studied pre-optometry at The Ohio State University and ultimately received a Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry in 1977. He returned to Tipp City in 1980 and established an independent private practice of optometry. In 1995 he and James R. Ranft, O.D., formed the Tipp Eye Center, Inc. After 45 years in practice, Dr. Davidson officially retired from the Tipp Eye Center in 2023.
Dr. Davidson has been active in the Tipp City community having served on the Tipp City Library Board of Trustees and the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors serving as President in 1983. He also served six years on the Board of Directors of the Ohio State Trapshooting Association serving as President in 1996. He is an active supporter of the Tipp City School system having served as Chairman of the Tipp City Educational Endowment. He is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Monroe Federal Savings and Loan. He was chosen the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year in 2010.
Dr. Davidson resides in Tipp City with his wife Connie (who was the Office Manager at the Tipp Eye Center until retiring in 2019) and has three adult children and grandchildren. His recreational interests include spending time with family, basketball, trapshooting and hunting.
James R. Ranft, O.D., M.S.
Dr. Ranft joined the practice in 1989. A lifelong resident of the Miami Valley, after graduating from Fairborn Baker High School in 1981, Dr. Ranft graduated Magna Cum Laude from Bowling Green State University, with a bachelor’s degree in microbiology. In 1989, he graduated with honors from The Ohio State University College of Optometry with dual degrees, his Doctor of Optometry and a Master’s degree in corneal physiology. Dr. Ranft’s research on oxygen permeability of rigid contact lenses was published in the Contact Lens Spectrum and was presented to the American Academy of Optometry. He is a member of the American Optometric Association, Ohio Optometric Association, and the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists. Dr. Ranft has served as the president of Tipp City Rotary, Tipp-Monroe Optimists and the Tipp City Area Chamber of Commerce. He is Vice President and Chairman of the Distribution Committee for Tipp City Foundation.
Dr. Ranft and his wife Noel, live in Tipp City with their rescue dog Rosie. They have three adult children, all graduates of Tippecanoe High School and grandchildren. In his spare time, he enjoys running in local charity 5Ks, half marathons and in 2017 completed the Columbus Marathon.
Amy L. Myers, O.D.
Dr. Myers is from Bellefontaine, Ohio where she graduated valedictorian from Benjamin Logan High School in 2009. She went on to attend the University of Dayton where she graduated magna cum laude in 2013 with bachelor’s degrees in both biology and adolescent science education. Dr. Myers spent the first three years of her career as a physics and biology teacher at Piqua High School. During her time in the classroom, she came to realize the significance of eyecare and decided to pursue a career in optometry. She went on to earn her Doctor of Optometry degree at The Ohio State University College of Optometry where she graduated cum laude in 2020. Dr. Myers has training in a variety of settings including primary care, ocular disease, low vision, specialty contact lenses, binocular vision, and pediatrics. Dr. Myers is a member of the American Academy of Optometry, the American Optometric Association, the Ohio Optometric Association, and the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists.
Dr. Myers currently lives in Urbana with her husband, Brandon, her son, Arthur and cat, Melvin. She enjoys hiking, biking, playing piano, and traveling.

Carol has been a Receptionist at the Tipp Eye Center since 2002.
Lexi has been a Receptionist at the Tipp Eye Center since 2021.
Amanda has been a Receptionist and Optometric Technician at the Tipp Eye Center since 2018.
Allison has been an Insurance Manager at the Tipp Eye Center since 2012.
Kira has been an Optometric Technician at the Tipp Eye Center since 2010.
Aryn has been an Optometric Technician at the Tipp Eye Center since 2020.
Chris has been an Optician at the Tipp Eye Center since 2002.
Yvonda has been an Optician at the Tipp Eye Center since 2021.
Mindy has been with the Tipp Eye Center since 2009, first as Optometric Technician then becoming Office Manager in 2019.
